Honda Bay

Its beaches of transparent waters, populated by multicolored corals and rich marine fauna are just one of the attractions offered by the communities of Bahia Honda and Salt Creek, located in the tourist district of Bastimentos. The families of these two communities work to rescue their local traditions. In Salt Creek you can taste and learn how to bake the famous Johnnycakes, with wheat flour and coconut milk and walk along its interpretative trail.

The organization Timorogo de Bahía Honda promotes artisanal fishing and the harvesting of local vegetables, and has a restaurant specializing in the traditional flavors of the Ngäbe indigenous community, where gastronomic and handicraft workshops are held. Timorogo's guides, certified by the Panama Tourism Authority, have the knowledge and experience to ensure the enjoyment of adventures such as hiking, diving in the mangroves, visits to nearby caves, dolphin and whale watching.
